In around 1880, posing as a caring neighbor, Goeie Mie began poisoning her victims with arsenic, all while secretly taking out life insurance policies on their lives.
Numerous deaths under suspicious circumstances raised concerns. Following the Frankhuizen family tragedy, the police were surprised to discover that Goeie Mie was responsible for over 100 victims, earning her a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest poisoner to date.
